Week 4 Overview – Prayer for the Poor & Hungry
Fasting Focus
The purpose for this fast is to give us compassion for the poor and hungry. 80% of our world lives in poverty. This week you will get a small glimpse into what it is like to be impoverished.

Details
This fast, different from the others that we will observe, will take you on a journey from eating only rice and beans up to what would be considered a wealthy meal in a poor nation. Each day you will follow the fast guidelines as best as you can with the purpose of breaking our hearts for the hurting of our world. What seems like a major sacrifice for us for one week, is a daily reality for billions.
